My name is Heidilynn and I have been working with kids since I was very young.
I started babysitting when I was 12 years old and continued throughout college. I taught Sunday school for many years, along with bible school in the summers. I also worked as a preschool helper when I was 18 years old, and worked my way up to teacher status during my three years at a daycare center. I love being with and working with children. It brings me so much joy to see a child learn new and interesting things for the first time. My husband and I have been a big part of our neighbor kids lives during the 18 years we have lived in our home. For many years before we had our daughter, we would have anywhere from two to five kids visiting us on a daily basis. It took us seven years to have our daughter and she gave the kids in the neighborhood all the more reason to come and visit us. We love kids and they make our world so much more enjoyable. Seeing things through their eyes is so rewarding. Over the years we still stay connected with the older kids in the neighborhood. They stop by or text us when they can.
My husband and I come from large families that are very close. I left my office job so that I could be with my daughter more and spend my days surrounded by children, which I have always wanted to do. I want to teach them as much as I can so that they feel they can go out in the world and do anything they put their minds to. I plan to continue my college education in the evenings for an early childhood education degree. (On top of my AAS degree in another field). I know that your child will love coming to my home, and I look forward to growing and learning from your child as well.
